CHS430 Rapid Ventilator Associated Pneumonia Diagnosis Device
Technology with origins in medical applications
Our first product detects ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) within 10 minutes. It has the potential to save pneumonia victims in the intensive care unit (ICU). It is the world’s first VAP breath analysis device designed specifically for ICUs.
Features patented/proprietary sensor, algorithm and medical device technology, as well as CE-certification in Europe.
Description
Description | For patients showing pneumonia symptoms during ICU intubation, pneumonia bacteria can be detected early and help doctors implement rapid treatment. |
Purpose | To collect breath samples for rapid pneumonia detection in patients who use respirator products, and provide fast pneumonia infection rate results as a reference for physicians’ diagnosis. |
Principle | Using array-type sensors, respiratory samples of infected and non-infected patients are collected, then the data is transformed into a special pattern to identify infection and bacteria. |
Target users | Patients using respiratory therapy devices in acute infection cases and intensive care units. |
Detection goal | To detect whether gas in the lower respiratory tract of patients contains pneumonia-type elements, collect breath samples from patients who use respirator products and provide rapid pneumonia detection. |
Detection method | Qualitative and quantitative testing. |
Specimen type | Intensive care unit patients using respirators with lower respiratory tract issues. |
Intended users | Certified doctors and medical staff (under doctor supervision). |
Connection | Connects to outlet on the Y-connector of the respirator. |
